GLFCTI 2009!!!!!!!!!!
Next year the Great Lakes Fire Chaplain Training Institute will be offering the BASIC Level 100 again, Pastoral Crisis Intervention I with Glenn Calkins, and Fire Families with Cameron Brown. The dates are April 20-21, 2009. Mark your calendar now (Notice it will be on Monday and Tuesday instead of Tuesday and Wednesday next year).
The Institute will again be held at Wayne Township Fire Headquarters and Training Center, 700 N. High School Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. We hope to have all three classes in the same building. Details still to be worked out on that. We are also looking for a cheaper hotel with rates good for the entire week. Will keep you updates as information becomes available.
Now is a good time to talk to your chief about paying for your training next year so it can be placed in the budget, and ask for those days off from work.
The downloadable brochure will be on line as soon as all the details are worked out.
Have you signed up for the FFC Institute Certification for training, education and experience in the field of fire
service chaplaincy??? This is the "official" tracking system for your training and experience in fire service chaplaincy.
You may apply for credit leading toward basic and advanced chaplaincy certificates. This is not automatic. You
must register and pay a $25.00 initial fee to have your records set up. Then you are responsible for sending in copies of your certificates and earned hours of training. Go to www.firechaplains.org click on Institute for additional information
and an Information and Application Packet. |
